High Frequency Operations:
1. Sterilize accessories before and after each usage.
2. Switch Main Power on.
3. Switch power on.
4. Adjust intensity f according to client's skin type.
5. Turn intensity to minimum(click sound)when finish using or
Exchanging electrodes.
When exchange glass electrodes, please be careful that the glue on the electrode is hot. Please twist slowly when pulling out the electrode in order to keep the glue in place. If pull the electrode out, please be gentle in case the glass will break.
Methods of Performing High Frequency
Germicidal Effect (Direct Method Only) Direct Method of High Frequency
1. Use the "mushroom" glass rod.
2. Limits sebaceous secretion.
3. Germicidal, anti-bacterial effect.
4. Drying and healing infection.
5. With client relaxed (no jewelry on) the operator turns on machine.
6. Operator places one hand on the client's face and applies the electrode to the face.
7. The electrode is rotated directly on the face in small circles, Do not lift electrode.
8. The operator places hand on client's and removes electrode.
Stimulation of Surface Tissue Sparking Method of High Frequency
1. Use the "mushroom" glass rod.
2. Penetrates to subcutaneous tissue (adipose face).
3. Generates heat that increases flow of blood tissue fluids.
4, Improves nutrition and elimination of skin.
5, Improves skin texture, oil and moisture balance to skin.
6, Operator sets up the same as in Direct Method procedure but electrode is lifted slightly away from the skin to create a sparking
Relaxation effect on Body Indirect Method of High Frequency
1, Generates warmth within tissues, produces sedative effect.
2, Increases relaxation and relief from tension.
3, Does not affect muscles.
4, Client holds "straight" glass electrode in both hands (no jewelry on).
5, Operator places one hand on clients face.
6, To find out the right intensity, operator slowly turns on and up the intensity of the machine at the same time lightly massaging the face and asking the client if they feel a warm or prickly sensation to the skin.
7, When the client feels the warm or tingling sensation, the intensity is at its best for that client.
8, Massage the face with both hands now with light strokes. Do not lift the fingers from the face.
9, Massage for five minutes and then rest for two minutes; Then start again.
10, Turn off machine with one hand.
Cautions:
1. Client has to take off all jewelry before treatment.
2. When use high frequency for the first time or it has not been used for a long while, it may seem not working. However, it is a normal reaction. Just turn the high frequency on for a while, and it will be working again.
3. When using sparkling effect on high frequency, use wet cotton slices to cover eyes. Only touch where it needs to be sterilized, maximum time of 10 seconds. Client will feel tingling.
